I have an idea for roleplay!

Everyone should POST.
It's fun, and the more people, the better!
But since there are ALREADY so many people posting, I have an idea.
To avoid overlapping of posts, and people having to delete posts that they've spent a long time on, if you are going to post, write "I'm posting" or something to that effect on the roleplay, and then edit your post. It helps!
But if you do plan to do it, please don't deliberately leave it there like Jenni has, because I think, Hayley, that we can come to a deal that any such post that is there for too long will be deleted? (Not that one of Jenni's, because I know she's writing a reply, but others) Only post that message if you are going to reply straight away, not if you think you might reply within the next week. Inconsiderate, people!
Hayley, I think you should delete Jenni's post by the end of tomorrow if she hasn't extended it.

I don't even think Jenni should still have it up now, let alone the end of tomorrow! I think it's fair to keep those posts for a couple of hours, but no longer. Any longer, and you know they're not still writing, whereas if it's less they could be writing a really long one, and keep being distracted, aka in class with having to go down and collect books, having to actually do work, etc. And we should make up a 'rule' that after those couple of hours, others are free to write, again with an "I'm Posting". The previous post can be deleted afterward.

First of all, you can't delete a post after somebody has replied to it! Hayley might be able to do it, but...?

Second, I know that Jenni has started to write a post, and since that rule's new, and she's not here to finish, I think it should be allowed. But from the time she next comes on, she's officially been warned, and then there's no excuse.
And I agree that it's unfair.

Yes, it is a good idea. It shouldn't be up there right now and I will delete it soon if she doesn't post in 1 day. That's the limit is now 2 hours, but she's getting warned now.
But there is also another thing that we should think about.
What if someone is writing there post and hasn't said, "I'm posting," then someone else could just write I'm posting at the same time as the other person and then you'd end up confused when they get posted at the same time.

EDIT: like what happened just then. I was posting and Molly had to interrupt it.

Sorry. I guess, you just have to say "I'm posting" all the time, and if you don't, too bad.
But not with all forums!
Just the RP ones.
And possibly if it's a deep, meaningful discussion with very long posts.

Unlikely with all these shallow inside-blonds, I know, but worth mentioning, eh?

Can I suggest some?
1. Those discussed above.
2. No meaningless posts, used as filler for somebody else to post.
3. Try to maintain some good english/punctuation. Otherwise, it's untidy.
4. No being ultra-powerful. It's not fair if you're just running all over people.
5. Try and let your posts lead onto something so that people can reply.
6. No editing your post once somebody else has posted (You might be tempted to be mean to them and stop their's from making sense)

Can I also say one more? Please?

I just wanted to say this: When you are writing about another character in a role play, don't make them say things completely out of their character, neither make them stupid, or gay. If your unsure about their character's personality, don't include much about them.

But, at the same time. Don't totally ignore people and not mention them in your writing, especially if they were in there in the previous post(s). This utterly confuses the ignoree as they have to re-state the story from their perspective, state why they weren't saying or doing anything, and continue on the story from an outsiders point of view.

Also, if you know someone wants to stay hidden, don't spot them! I don't care if you do have super sensory vision and mega heightened smell and hearing. And it doesn't matter if your character has some faults! I'm a stuck up, crabby guy with a rats tail in Molly's story! That's not exactly the best, nor what I want to be when I'm older. We need less Mary Sues and more realistic persona's.
